Today was a long but great day!
I was able to get a second opinion from another doctor who specializes in the infertility issues I have. He took me off some of the meds I was on previously -- which is a tremendous blessing! We begin fertility treatments in earnest in about 6 weeks. I think I am going to like this new doctor. He seems to know what he is doing, and he is not the type to just tell me what I want to hear. I just feel relieved knowing that I will be able to get answers and I will be taken care of.
Then, Jennifer and I had our first accountability time together. It was a good time of challenging one another and praying for one another. The Lord has truly blessed me with Jennifer's friendship!
My sister's birthday is tomorrow. Mom is baking a cake and taking it to her at work. That will really encourage her. We both love mom's cakes. They are super tasty! I wish I could be there to celebrate with her. I am sure it will be a fun day for her.
RELIEF

Whew!
Monday, August 17, 2009Yesterday was a DOOZY!
We went to churchwhich was wonderful! Our church has planted a new campus in St. Matthews, and we have been enjoying watching that church grow! We are already busting at the seams, and we have only been meeting for 2 (official) weeks!!
Then we visited with Khada and Rupa, our Nepali friends. Khada has been the sole bread winner in his family since they arrived in America over a year ago. They have 3 precious children who are very young. Khada is out of work because he had surgery, and now his family is without income for 2 months. Please be praying with me for them. We know that God will use this to work in their lives -- and that is what we should be most concerned with, but it is difficult to watch this sweet family struggle! If you want to help in any way with Khada's family, I have a specific list of needs for them, and we would be grateful for all your help!
Then, I went home and rested for an hour or two...what a blessing from the Lord!
Afterwards, I prepared my weekly grocery list AND I used coupons!!! I saved $21 bucks!! I also used re-usable grocery bags and got extra points towards fuel purchases. Well, if that is not productive enough for ya...I went home and got busy! I made the chili for last night's menu, and I got a head start on this week's meals. I went ahead and made the green chili lasagna. I had some bananas that needed to be used, so I baked 'Chunky Monkey Muffins' which is really banana nut muffins with chocolate chips and walnuts. THEN...ta daa! I made ham and cheese brunch squares for breakfast this week. I usually split the recipe into 2 dishes and freeze one of them for later on...WHEW!~ What a day! Very productive!
I will share pics of Khada and Rupa soon. We were able to take a few while we were visiting yesterday.
